Please Note:
  • Pre-registration is required. Sorry, drop-ins and unregistered friends and family members will not be permitted at the workshop site without prior approval.
  • The office is prepared for heavy volume during the first week and, to be fair and orderly, will not confirm reservations for the workshop or accommodations until requests are sorted into the order received.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that requests for registration received prior to the opening time (Monday Feb. 14 at 9:00 AM) will be dated as if they were received 24 hours after the opening time. In other words, please don't try to register early--it doesn't help and only puts you farther back on the list.
  • Children under 19 years old will not be allowed onsite unless accompanied by a parent or an authorized adult (parental release form is required).
  • There is no separate program for children. Please consult if you plan to bring children under 14.
  • Please photocopy and fill out a separate registration form for each person when coming as a group.
  • Because all registrations are processed directly through Sorrento Centre, please make all cheques payable to Sorrento Centre in Canadian funds.
  • Full payment is required on or before July 15. All payments can be made by cheque, money order, VISA or Mastercard. We recommend following up with Sorrento Centre to make sure your payment was processed.
  • Registration by fax, phone or email is accepted, but will be cancelled if deposit is not received within 10 days.
  • Within 3 weeks of receipt of payment you will receive notice that you are registered.
  • If Bluegrass Camp is completely full (this probably won't happen), you have the option of adding your name to the wait list or receiving a full refund.
  • All prices are in Canadian Dollars.
  • Although pets are not allowed at Sorrento Centre, a boarding kennel is available nearby--please inquire if interested.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations after August 7, 2011 will not be eligible for a refund for any reason. The only exception is the unlikely event that we cancel the seminar you've enrolled in (this occasionally happens due to low enrollment), in which case you can either switch seminars or get a full refund.

STUDENT TUITION: $500/week CDN + 12% HST. Tuition includes your seminar; afternoon elective workshops; staff concerts, a student band scramble, the student concert, and an old time dance in the evenings; Slow Pitch, Intermediate, and Old Time late-night jams; and occasions throughout the week to meet new friends, interact and jam with our staff, and much more! Sunday BBQ and evening snacks also included.

NON-STUDENT OPTION: $400/week CDN + 12% HST. "Pickers" (non-student musicians) and "Grinners" (non-musicians accompanying a student or picker) can choose the non-student option, which includes all of the above program items except enrollment in a seminar and participation in the student concert. Sunday BBQ and evening snacks also included.

CAMPING OPTIONS:

  • Orchard Field Campsites: “Woodstock-style” via parking attendant direction.....$95.00/session
  • Reserved Camp Sites: picnic table/fire pit .....................................................$125.00/session
  • Semi-Service Site: water/electricity (15 amp max) .........................................$165.00/session
  • Full RV: water/electricity/sewer (15 amp max. Note: push-outs are restricted)...$210.00/session
CABANAS: You can reserve a bunk with mattress in one of 14 Cabana style CABINS, or you and your group can reserve your own--each sleeps up to 6 people. Bring your own bedding.
  • Reserved Cabana: accommodates up to 6 in total ......................................... $340.00/Cabana/session
  • Shared Cabana: Men’s or Women’s – one person with up to 4 others ..............$81.25/person/session
The LODGES provide comfortable single and shared rooms with private bath. Limited availability -- please call Sorrento Centre to confirm that a lodge room is available.
  • Double Room (two beds) ........................................................................... $455.00/double room/session
For those traveling with familiy members who do not plan to register for the workshop, there are lots of nearby hotels, motels and camping facilities BUT BE SURE TO BOOK EARLY! This is a popular summer resort area.

MEAL OPTIONS
The Sunday evening BBQ and all evening snacks are included in your tuition.
  • Attendees have the option of preparing meals at campsites or saving precious time by having the Sorrento Centre cafeteria staff do the cooking. Their food is better than ever and now features fresh produce from their own organic farm!
  • The full meal package, spanning Monday breakfast to Friday breakfast, includes 13 delicious and nutritious meals for $185.25+ 12% HST
  • A third option is the dinner only package (4 dinners) for $80.60 + 12% HST.
  • Let us know if you prefer vegetarian meals or if you have other special requirements.
